God’s Time Out

Timothy Roosenberg

In Revelation 7:1-3 it indicates that God can hold back events (call a time out) if His people are not ready. It says, “After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree”saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” I believe God called a time out on or about January 7, 2020.

On January 3 Soleimani the commander of the Iranian Quds (Jerusalem) Brigade was killed in a drone strike by order of then President Trump. Soleimani was the 2nd most powerful leader in Iran and the Iranians were furious. They said that they would attack the US forces directly and not through their proxy groups as they normally do. President Trump warned them that if they killed one American he would order a massive strike on Iran that would include military, cultural, and religious targets.  By not differentiating between military and religious or civilian targets Trump was, in effect, saying that the US would go into a holy war mode like the radical Muslims had done. The Iranians attacked multiple US bases with many rockets, but miraculously no one died, and Trump did not order a major counter attack. The crisis passed and COVID 19 hit, pushing the threat of the Islamists (radical Islam) onto the back burner. But the issue is still alive and just waiting to come roaring back and pull the world into a cataclysmic conflict between the radical Islamists and the once “Christian” West.
